Travel Tourism Diploma Level 2

Who is this course for?

If you are interested in becoming a travel representative or working in the travel industry within the UK or worldwide, then this course is for you.

What will I do on the course?

This course will teach you how the industry is made up, who the big players are and how it is funded. Effective customer service is vital to this industry and you will develop skills in marketing products and services to customers which will enable you to apply for a range of jobs within the industry. You will study a range of topics which may include:

• UK travel and tourism destinations
• European holiday destinations
• Planning visits and trips
• Interpersonal skills for holiday reps
• Airports and airlines
• Customer service and marketing in travel and tourism

In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health and safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.

What qualifications do I need?

• 4 GCSEs Grade D or above OR
• Level 1qualification in a related subject
• Adequate standard of English and Maths
• Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
• You should have a strong interest in the travel and tourism industry and demonstrate a commitment to succeed

Are there any additional costs?

Learners may be required to purchase minor items of personal equipment during the course. In addition there may be extra curricular trips which have an additional cost. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs.
