Music Technology Diploma Level 2
If you have an enjoyment of music technology and enjoy recording sounds, with ambitions of making and recording music, then the Level 2 Diploma is a great starting point. You will develop a general understanding towards the music industry and sound engineering/recording practices through a range of projects and assignments. Three mandatory units:- Working in the music industry - 5 credits
- Professional development in the music industry - 5 credits
- Planning and creating a music product - 10 credits
- Exploring computer systems used by musicians - 10 credits
- Producing a musical recording - 10 credits
- Developing music theory - 10 credits
- Investigating an area of music - 10 credits
What qualifications do I need?
- 4 GCSEs Grade D or above, OR
- Level 1 qualification in a related subject
- Adequate standard of English and Maths
- Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
- You should have a strong interest in music and demonstrate a commitment to succeed

Are there any additional costs?
Learners may be required to purchase minor items of personal equipment (such as a USB drive) during the course. In addition there may be extra curricular trips which have an additional cost, but these are not compulsory for completion of the course. Prices and details will be discussed at interview.
