ICT Diploma Level 2

Who is this course for?

If you want to develop new technology, and not just use it, this course is for you. You will be inspired to use your IT skills and develop your ideas for future technology. Who knows, you could become the next Mark Zuckerberg!

What will I do on the course?

You will study a range of topics which may include:

• The online world
• Technology systems
• A digital portfolio
• Software development
• Website development
• Multimedia product development
• Database development
• Spreadsheet development
• Computer networks

In addition, you will learn skills that are required in any career choice, including health & safety, confidence building, social and practical skills, and English and Maths. We also offer English and Maths GCSE resits.

What qualifications do I need?

• 4 GCSEs Grade D or above, OR
• Level 1 qualification in a related subject
• Adequate standard of English and Maths
• Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
• You should have a strong interest in working in IT and demonstrate a commitment to succeed

Are there any additional costs?

Learners may be required to purchase small items such as personal stationery and USB stick. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs.
