You will be introduced to the way society views and treats different groups of people and will consider how the environment can affect the health of an individual and the community. You will learn about:- Communication and individual rights with the health and social care sectors

- Human lifespan development
- Health & social care services
- Anatomy and physiology for health and social care
- An opportunity to improve your English and Maths
- Level 1 Award in Learning to Learn
- Level 1 Award in Environmental Sustainability
- Certificate in Food Safety
- Certificate in Paediatric First Aid

What qualifications do I need?
- 4 GCSEs Grade D or above, OR
- BTEC Introductory Diploma in Health & Social Care
- CACHE Diploma in Caring for Children (QCF)
- Adequate standard of English and Maths
- Mature learners with other qualifications and/or experience are also welcomed
- You should have a strong interest in working in the care sector and demonstrate a commitment to succeed
- You will have an interview to assess your suitability and will require a clean enhanced CRB check with an appropriate personal reference

Are there any additional costs?
Learners may be required to purchase their own personal equipment during the course. You will also be required to pay for your CRB check. Prices and details will be discussed at interview. Bursary funds may be available to help with additional costs.Share your review
