ICAEW CFAB is ideal for anyone who either works, or wants to work, in business or practice including school leavers, graduates and existing employees with experience in the workplace.  No previous academic qualfications are required.

The ICAEW CFAB is a stand-alone qualification in its own right - demonstrating on your CV that you are qualfied in the basics of business and finance, and are dedicated to your chosen path.

It also gives you the option to progress further to the even more prestigious ACA qualification, and to becoming a 'Chartered Accountant' with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

What's involved?

There are 6 modules that you are required to pass (or successfully claim exemption from due to Prior Learning) in order to complete the qualification.
The 6 modules are: 

  • Business and Finance
  • Management Information
  • Accounting (Mandatory)
  • Law
  • Assurance
  • Principles of Taxation

and can be attempted in any order.

How will you study?

  • The tuition: All tuition is provided by face to face classroom courses to ensure you get the individual attention and responsive help you need to get you through your exams. We have a rolling programme of courses - each paper is scheduled twice a year to allow you to plan your studies at a time to suit you. All tutors provide personal contact details for questions outside the course to ensure you are fully prepared for the exam
  • The material: ICAEW Study Manuals and Question Banks are provided, as well as summary course notes to make your classroom time as productive as possible. You can then review the course and practice questions in the run up to your e-assessment
  • The e-assessment: Each module is examined by e-assessment and can be attempted on our premises, or at a test centre close by. Each exam lasts 90 minutes and you get your results the following day

Our results: Our recent results are included below. Your papers are the 'Certificate Level' papers included in the ICAEW results section.
