Course Aim
The AAT qualification is your route to a successful career in finance .
You could work in industry or decide to set up in practice as a self employed professional and be your own boss.
Completion of the level 4 diploma in accounting will also lead you to the Chartered Accountancy courses such as CIMA, ACCA , ICAEW, ICAS or to continue to do a degree course in the university.
Most of the new AAT qualification (QCF ) is exam based and therefore you are able to take the computer based assessment (CBA ) anytime you are ready unlike the NVQ qualification which was restricted to June and December .

Workplace evidence
Student members may provide workplace evidence for any of the six e-assessments but this type of evidence must apply to the whole of the unit and cannot be integrated into AAT e – assessment material. This will involve assessors in making assessment decisions on a broad range of evidence. For example witness testimony, written or oral questions and answers, observation records , workplace documents and recognition of prior learning (RPL )
