Project Management - Introduction

This course provides an insight into the basic steps of managing projects effectively and how people are at the centre of successful projects.

Introduction to project management; project management models and tools; how to apply project based management in the workplace; case studies; impact of project management on business performance.

Your learning will take place via some of the following methods: Teaching, lectures, presentations, Moodle, Google Drive, demonstrations, podcasts, workshops, assignments, drop-ins, tutorials, and Movenote. Learning methods include: individual work, action, research, pair and group working, and flipped learning.

No formal entry requirements required. Entry related to work experience and a background which will enable the delegate to benefit from the programme.

On successful completion of the course a number of progression opportunities become available: enhance your professional status by undertaking other programmes in the Development Suite, or enrol onto CMI courses, progress to other qualifications at the same level (e.g. from Level 2 Award to Level 2 Certificate etc), or progress to other qualifications at the next level (e.g. from Level 2 Certificate to Level 3 Certificate).
