Studying GCSE Maths will develop a positive attitude to mathematics and an appreciation of the place of maths in both employment and everyday life.
You will learn to think mathematically, to understand mathematical ideas and how to use them. This is a great subject to help develop your analytical and problem solving skills.

These units will be assessed through three separate end of year
examinations.
You will learn though a combination of traditional lessons and
e-learning. You will need to be prepared for extra study and spend
around three hours per week on studying away from the
classroom.
Gaining a GCSE in Maths is a vital stepping stone on your
journey to further study and employment. You will have your own
specialist personal tutor who you will meet individually or as part
of a group tutorial and they will help you set, review and achieve
your targets.
The college provides a varied programme of enrichment opportunities
and you will be encouraged to select from a range including
volunteering, work experience, sport and performing.
You will normally have four GCSEs at grade D. A Functional Skills Maths qualification will also strengthen your application.
Gaining a good grade at GCSE will help with your progression on to a suitable Level 3 course such as A-levels or finding a job.
Apply online and you will then be invited to an interview. Before coming to interview, you will be required to complete an online diagnostic assessment at home so that we can make sure that GCSE is the right level course for you.
