This course has been developed by the maintenance, manufacturing, electronic and general engineering sectors to give full time learners the opportunity to enter employment or to progress to higher level engineering qualifications. Your learning will involve a combination of theory and
principles with hands-on experience within real work situations.
You will learn from experienced staff and develop your skills in a
creative and enjoyable way.
You will study core units covering engineering working practices,

also have the chance to specialise in additional areas and develop
your English, Maths and ICT skills, which are essential for
successful performance in working life.
BTEC Level 2 Diploma is equivalent to four GCSEs at Grades A*-C and will help you explore a range of careers within the engineering industry.
Four GCSE grades in English Language Maths and Science or achievement on a Level 1 course. You will be interviewed and must demonstrate self-motivation.
You can progress to the Engineering BTEC Level 3 other advanced level courses or seek employment.
