You are observed in placement by a designated assessor, placement
officer and personal tutor to help you meet the learning outcomes
set out by the awarding body (CACHE).

On this course you gain:
- a Level 3 qualification that’s recognised within the sector
- an extensive knowledge of Early Years
- skills for lifelong learning
To do this course you need:
5 GCSEs grade A*–C including English language and maths
a full relevant Level 2 qualification, including Level 2 functional
skills in maths and English
enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). You must have a
clear CRB with no criminal convictions, reprimands or cautions
We would also like you to have completed at least one week’s work
experience in a nursery or school in the foundation/reception
classes before the start of your course.
On successful completion of the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early
Years Education and Care (EYE), you can into employment in a
variety of roles with public and childcare providers,
including:
supervising children
team leader
nanny
play coordinator in a hospital
manager
deputy manager
assessor
nursery nurse
supporting the community midwife
In higher education there are early years and childhood studies
degree courses, primary teaching degree courses and foundation
degrees (see our partner, Banbury and Bicester College). Further
training options include play therapy, leadership and management in
the early years sector.
The course carries between 120 and 360 UCAS points.
