During your advanced-level apprenticeship you will develop,
implement and maintain administrative services for customers and
clients.
This will include managing, evaluating and improving your own
performance plus effective communication within a business
environment.
The elements of the programme are:
• NVQ 3 Diploma in Business Administration
• Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration
• Key skills/functional skills in Maths, English and ICT
• Employment rights and responsibilities
This is a work-based qualification so an assessor will visit your
workplace to observe your working practices every four to six
weeks.
All functional skills are taught and assessed through online
training.
You will build up a portfolio of evidence as well as observations
from your assessor and online communication.
You build the basic knowledge required to carry out many
business administration tasks, and to contribute to the development
of admin services within your organisation.
One of the great things about business administration is that you
can work almost anywhere. With your transferable skills, you could
be working in a record company or a charity. You’ll gain further
insights into the careers available to you with this course.
Administration roles are also an excellent starting point to move
into management once you have more experience.
Upon application you will be invited in for an interview and an initial assessment to make sure that the course is right for you. There are no other restrictions to becoming an apprentice except that you need to be over the age of 16 and to have been settled in the UK for at least the past three years.
This can be a stepping stone to a university course. Job roles could include, secretary, PA and administration clerk. Ask about further administration and business-related training at the College.
This qualification provides you with excellent transferable skills, you could be working anywhere, from a hospital to a law firm to running an office. Administration roles are a great way to further your career and can lead to future management roles.
