How can I make a career change towards working with animals?
Question asked by: Skip
- What do you want to learn, change or accomplish? I would like to gain some knowledge about animal behaviour, welfare and care. I need a new set of skills to enable me to change my career path and work with animals which is something I was discouraged from doing when I left school.
- Why are you interested in this? Tell something about your motivation, work background and future plans. I have recently realised that I am bored with my career as a police officer and when I wrote a CV I realised that although I have a lot of personal skills I have little in the way of professional qualifications. After 20 years I want to follow my dream of working with animals.
- How do you want the course or program to be set up? Think about the level of completion, region, your budget and other criteria. Due to work commitments I need a flexible distance learning package. I have no preference for the level of completion as I am willing to work my way up to higher levels. I want something that improves my knowledge and something to show a prospective employer. I would like to know what course(s) would best suit my needs.
