The Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in
Schools offers an engaging programme for those who are clear about
the vocational area they want to learn about. This qualification
has been designed to assess the knowledge and competence required
to work in this sector.
The Programme Content
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above ideally including English, Maths and a science - there is room on this course to undertake resits in GCSE English and/or Maths.
Costs
Learners on this course will be expected to provide a USB memory stick on which to save and back up their work; and to meet printing and travel costs within the course requirements. There is no uniform cost on this course, though learners are expected to provide smart/casual attire for placement (ie polo shirt and black trousers, not jeans). You will have to pay for an enhanced CRB check, please see CRB Checks information below.

Progression
Upon completion of this programme, candidates are able to take up paid employment at supervisory level within the sector or progress to university to complete a degree.
Length of Study
This course runs over one year. Lessons run over two days per week in college, with three days a week in a placement setting.

This course starts in the 2013 / 2014 academic year.
DBS Checks
