Details The Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching &
Learning in Schools Level 3 will help you to further develop your
role as a teaching assistant, learning support advisor or learning
mentor in a school environment. Students will need to successfully
complete a total of 44 credits to achieve the full Level 3 Diploma
in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools
comprised from: 11 Mandatory units (32 credits). Plus up to 6
Optional units (12 credits). A Course for Students who are
currently employed or volunteering and working in a school
environment with children aged 0-19 years in a level 3 role with
relevant responsibilities. Those who hold a relevant level 2
qualification in teaching and learning in schools or have
substantial experience working in a school setting. Entry Criteria
You must have: A work placement or employment in a school setting
working with children aged 0-19 years and have an appropriate level
of responsibility. A current relevant level 2 qualification.
Evidence of a current DBS check. A good level of literacy,
numeracy and ICT skills, preferably English, Maths and ICT at GCSE
grades A-C. Individuals must be working in a paid or voluntary
capacity in a school for a minimum of 18 hours per week. Assessment
Students are required to build a portfolio of evidence to include
workplace observations, assignments, projects and reflective
accounts.
