The Programme

The k or s units are combined to form a topic ¿set'. In order to pass the qualification, learners must achieve a minimum of 70 credits from the following groups:
Group A: 29 credits from the six mandatory units
Group B: 37 credits from the mandatory specialist units
Group C: A minimum of four credits from one ¿set'
A minimum of 70 credits must be achieved at Level 2 or above.

This qualification consists of six mandatory units, nine mandatory specialist units and four optional units. All units are either knowledge (k) or skills (s) units. G3S - Skills in Supporting Job Roles in the Automotive Environment (J/

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade E and above including Maths, English and a Science or technology subject would be advantageous; in addition to successful completion of the Level 1 Motorcycle course.

Costs

You will be required to purchase safety clothing such as boots and overalls. There will also be a fee of £30 for the workbooks that you will use during the duration of the programme.

Progression

Students who complete this course can progress to an Apprenticeship programme. Once employed they will be encouraged to complete the VCQ Level 2 as required.
