This practical, work-related course aims to give you a good basic grounding in Motor Vehicle studies. You learn by completing projects, practical tasks and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. You will take 3 core subjects:
- Foundation skills for motorcycle
- maintenance and repair
- Motorcycle construction and routine maintenance
- Working safely and effectively during motorcycle maintenance and repair.

- Operating principles and maintenance of motorcycle electrical and electronic systems

Progression
This qualification helps you to progress onto higher level qualifications such as IMI Level 2 Award in Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair or BTEC Diploma in Engineering or A Levels. Alternatively, it can lead to a range of Apprenticeships in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Engineering.
Entry Requirements
2 GCSEs (Grade D or above including maths or Science) or the Introductory Diploma.
