Health and safety, workshop practice, advanced diagnostics on systems including vehicle electrics/electronics, engine management and transmissions petrol and diesel engines, ignition systems etc.

What does the course lead to?

Employment as a fully-skilled technician in the automotive industry.

What can I go on to study?

There may be the opportunity to study at Level 4/5 HNC/D in Electrical Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with the possibility of a similar automotive qualification in the near future.

Entry requirements

Successful and timely completion of the Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Level 2. Entry to Level 3 is not automatic and is based on overall performance on the Level 2 programme for current Vision West Notts students and references from students who have studied at other organisations.

How much does it cost?

16 - 18 FREE, 19+ £350. You will be expected to provide your own steel toe-capped safety footwear and overalls as well as pens, notebook etc.
