The Programme
This qualification is designed to further increase opportunities
for individuals who would like to enter the motor industry. The
course develops manual skills and the student's knowledge of
vehicles gained at Level 2. The qualification is made up of three
components, practical tasks, on-line testing and written
assignments. Diagnostic skills associated with vehicle maintenance
and repair form a substantial part of the content.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above which must include Maths and English. The students will also be expected to have completed the Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance. Assessment of the students prior knowledge and experience at interview will determine entry onto the course.
Costs
You will need to supply overalls and suitable safety footwear*. Candidates will also be required to pay £30 for the cost of workbooks that will be used during the programme.

Progression
Students who complete this programme can progress to employment within the motor industry. The qualification forms the knowledge component of the Apprenticeship framework, and once employed they will be encouraged to complete further qualifications as required.
