Upon completion of this qualification, students are awarded an IOSCM Level 3 Diploma, a SFEDI Level 3 Diploma and an OLC Diploma. All certification fees are included in your course fees.

Qualification

This course is accredited by the Institute of Supply Chain Management (IOSCM) as well as the awarding body SFEDI. • Freight operation planning and different modes of transport
• Understand how freight operations are regulated
• Freight performance control techniques

Secure Cargo 1 Credits

• Legislation, guidance and organisation requirments for securing cargo
• Secure cargo safely in a Port

Introduction to Ship and Port Operations 12 Credits

• Activities involved in shipboard operations in port and sea
• Application of basic marine legislation
• Key ship’s cargo and deck equipment
• Shipboard geography, nautical and cargo terminology

• Customs technologies
• Documentation and procedures relating to the importation of goods

Freight Forwarding 3 Credits

• Importance of freight forwarding

• Appropriate infrastructure and equipment requirements for freight forwarding

This course can be taken over a 12 month period and you can complete it in your own time during this period.
