Unit Descriptions;
Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise: In this unit candidates will cover the knowledge an instructor needs to instruct a range of clients in a personal training setting.
Applying the Principles of Nutrition to a Physical Activity Programme: This unit covers the learner ability to apply the principles of nutrition in support of a clients goals as part of an exercise and physical activity programme.
Programming Personal Training with Clients: This unit covers the knowledge and skills a learner needs to design, manage and adapt a personal training programme with apparently healthy people of all ages. This may include young people aged 14-16, provided they are part of a larger adult group. The unit also covers working with individual older adults, ante and post natal women and disabled clients. (This unit does not include specialist classes for any of these groups)
Delivering Personal Training Sessions: This
unit covers the knowledge and skills a learner needs to deliver
exercise and physical activity as part of a programme for
apparently healthy people of all ages. This may include young
people aged 14-16, provided they are part of a larger adult group.
