The course encourages intercultural exchange, as you will be taught at both Nottingham Business School and Kedge Business School, Marseille campus in France. The six-month internship in France in Year Two allows you to apply your knowledge and experience in an international business environment.

Special features
Year One is spent at
Nottingham Business School. During Year Two you will study at Kedge
Business School, Marseille for the first half of the year and spend
the second half on internship in France (or a French speaking
country). Year Three involves full-time study at Kedge Business
School, Marseille and you will spend your final year back at
Nottingham Business School.

Course content
Our commitment is to educate you for management in an international
environment. The course therefore includes a broad range of
business subjects at both institutions, but in particular those
with an international focus. These are joined by modules
facilitating cultural and language learning. Emphasis is placed
throughout the degree on understanding the theoretical underpinning
of international business together with furthering practical skills
and knowledge. Studying at Kedge Business School will allow you the
opportunity to study in both French and English.
Year One
Modules include:
- Foundations of Managing and Organising
- Accounting and Finance for International Managers
- French Language
- Marketing and Operations Management
- Quantitative Methods for International Business
- Culture, Communication and Learning.
Year Two:
- half-year study at Kedge Business School, Marseille
- half-year internship with a French company.
Year Three:
- full-year study at Kedge Business School, Marseille.
Final year
Modules include:
- Research Project
- International Strategic Management
- International Tourism and Development
- Exploring Global Markets
- Leadership and Employability (International Business).
Plus one optional module from:
- Global Supply Chain Strategy
- International Marketing and Communications
- Jean Monnet Europe and the World Economy
- French Language.
The course is taught at both Nottingham Business School and Kedge Business School, Marseille in France. A wide range of teaching methods are employed, including:

As well as attending lectures, seminars and workshops, you will also carry out:

You will typically be assessed through a combination of:
- coursework
- projects
- examinations.
None of your modules will be assessed through practical work. However, the course has been designed to help you develop a range of practical skills, for which further details can be found in the 'How will I learn' section above.
In response to student feedback the University has introduced a policy that ensures you receive feedback on assessment within three weeks of submission.
Whilst studying in Nottingham you will attend lectures and seminars at NTU's City site, in the impressive Newton building, home to Nottingham Business School.
Virtual learning environment
You'll also use our virtual learning environment, NOW, which is a
flexible web-based system that allows you to have 24-hour access to
module learning materials and reading lists. It allows you to
discuss work with tutors and other students, and submit coursework
electronically from anywhere in the world.

The School is based in the impressive Newton Building on NTU's City site. In 2009 the building was involved in a £90 million regeneration project on the site. Whilst maintaining its historic beauty, the Grade II listed building was transformed into an ultra-modern complex.
