Is this course for me?

This course will provide you with a basic understanding of children’s growth, learning and development and the skills needed to care for young children.

What qualifications or skills do I require to study this course?

4 GCSEs including English Language and maths at grade E or above.

What does the course involve?

You will have the opportunity to study: • Healthy eating for families • Supporting babies to play • Growth & development of young children • Sharing learning experiences with young children • Musical activities for young children • Children’s play & leisure activities in the community • Craft activities for young children

What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? Upon successful completion of this course you can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Childcare and Education.
