Is this course for me?

This course is your first step towards to a career in the fashion and clothing industry. From sketchbook to catwalk, you’ll learn to generate your own fashion ideas, which you’ll carry through every stage of the process to the final catwalk show.

What qualifications or skills do I require to study this course?

To study this course you will need four GCSEs at grade C or above including maths and English or a Level 2 BTEC Diploma in a relevant subject and a portfolio of work. The course is the equivalent of 3 A Levels when you pass.

• Knit
• Fabric manipulation
Our students undertake work placements with some of Britain’s top fashion companies including; French Connection, Top Shop, H&M, Joseph, Nicole Farhi, John Lewis, BHS as well as working in the costume department at the Royal Opera House.

What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? Upon successful completion of this course students can progress onto the Foundation Degree in Fashion and Textiles which is taught here at the college as well as many other fashion and textiles degree courses at universities around the country.
