The NVQ programme is delivered in the workplace, and assessment is based on a candidate portfolio of evidence demonstrating competence against specific criteria. Candidates taking Level 2 will take approx 6-9 months to achieve their qualification. To achieve a full Level 2 NVQ in Children's Care Learning and Development, candidates must complete 6 Core units and 1 optional units
The qualifications are very flexible and, enabling the organisation and the candidate to choose optional units which best suit their work situation and job role.
Career Progression:
These qualifications have been designed to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required to enable progression to and from qualifications along the vertical and horizontal plans of the National Qualification Framework. For example, a candidate achieving a Level 2 in Children's Care Learning and Development may progress to Level 3 in Children's Care Learning and Development if their job role allows, or may widen their skills into other areas and undertake other work-based qualifications eg NVQ in Customer Service.There are no frequently asked questions yet.
