The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualifications are awarded by one of the world's leading membership organisations for the accounting profession with over 100,000 members. Thesequalifications are highly valued by employers and will give you the skills to work in many different kinds of companies and organisations with the choice of a wide variety of job opportunities.

The QCF is a new framework for creating and accrediting qualifications. The AAT’s new accounting qualification within QCF will be available from July 2010 with courses at Nescot starting from September 2010. The NVQ system will no longer be available.

There are three levels
Level 2 Certificate in Accounting – 24 credits
Level 3 Diploma in Accounting – 41 credits
Level 4 Diploma in Accounting – 41-44 credits
If you do not wish to complete the full scheme, you may attempt
one level.
In addition to College attendance, you will need to spend several
hours each week on home study.

Assessment: by a combination computer based assessment (centrally set andassessed by AAT) and AAT e-delivered project/case study or work based evidence (locally assessed by centre if required).
