ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

For this course applicants should have good Standard Grades or National 5 qualifications (particularly English), relevant work experience or have successfully completed a relevant course at introductory level.

This course is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge about the media and communication industries to allow progression to other advanced courses in the College. Units studied are at Intermediate 2 and Higher levels.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

This course is mainly assessed on a continuous basis and does not include an external end-of-course examination. Coursework takes the form of essays, reports, presentations, case studies and practical projects. Most of the assessment of student work is undertaken by College staff.

PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Students successfully completing this course may choose from a range of advanced College courses including HND Communication with Media or HND Advertising & Public Relations.
