Who is this course for? People who aspire to developing a career in areas of growing employment opportunities and wish to combine employment/internship with their academic studies to obtain an HE qualification. Who is this course for? This 2 year course will cover the following topics: Core Units - * Creativity, Communication and Personal Effectiveness * The Changing Business Environment * Essential Marketing * Managing Financial Resources * Organisational Behaviour * Human Resource Management * Research and Managing Information * Essential Law for Business * Operations and Project Management * Employer Consultancy Project Optional Units in the following pathways: * Accounting * Business * Human Resources * Management (Part-time students only) * Marketing * Small Business Enterprise How will I be assessed ? Assessment will be through: * Continuous assessment through coursework covering a range of assignments, some of which include a time-constrained element * Also a Personal Development Log must be submitted for successful completion of the programme. The Employer Consultancy Project based upon the Year Two internship will form a significant proportion of the assessment What qualifications could I achieve ? On successful completion of this course, the following qualifications will (depending on the option pathway chosen) be achieved: * Foundation Degree - Business * Foundation Degree - Business with Accounting * Foundation Degree - Business with Human Resources * Foundation Degree - Business with Management (part time only) * Foundation Degree - Business with Marketing * Business with Small Business Enterprise What can the course lead to ? Students who successfully complete this course can progress to a top up Honours Degree at Middlesex University. How do I join the course ?
