Who is this course for? This course is aimed for students who have an interest in digital photography and relevant software relating to developing the images. You may have little or no experience of the discipline but are keen to develop specific skills relating to digital photography. Some students must have their own digital camera. Who is this course for? This course is aimed for students who have an interest in digital photography and relevant software relating to developing the images. You may have little or no experience of the discipline but are keen to develop specific skills relating to digital photography. Some students must have their own digital camera. What qualifications or experience do I need ? You will need access to a digital camera and some knowledge of computers. A basic understanding of visual language is also desirable. What will I study ? This is a level one course in digital photographic editing. This course will cover an overview of digital photography and good photographic practice but it is NOT a course in darkroom photography. The emphasis of the course is in post production editing. You will use Adobe Photoshop CS to explore techniques that will allow you to enhance, correct and alter your digital images. How will I be assessed ? Demonstrations and discussions are followed by a practical task for the student to undertake in class and at home if desired. All lessons will be taught in specialist rooms including access to a darkroom and a photography studio on request with the tutor. What can the course lead to ? Many students after completing the course do return for other part time classes or chooose to study Art & Design on a full time programme. How do I join the course ?
