Level 5 Hospitality Management (Hotels, Resorts & Restaurants) Foundation Degree

The hospitality industry is exciting, fast-moving and diverse in scope and operates a wide range of outlets including hotels, resorts and restaurants. These can range from independent small businesses to multinational corporate companies.

This course has been designed to develop a broad range of skills and an understanding and appreciation of this aspect of the hospitality industry.

Year 1

• Developing business skills

• Hotels, resorts and restaurant operations
• Managing the service encounter
• Entrepreneurship
• Personal and Professions development (including placement)

Year 2

• Legal environment
• Hospitality Management
• Managing research and information
• Human resource management
• Management techniques

All of the tutors have excellent, in-depth knowledge from working in the hospitality industry.

Students will need between 120 and 240 UCAS points from:

• BTEC Diploma or Extended Diploma
• At least two 'A' Levels at 'A2' or Applied GCE/AVCE Double Award
• Advanced Diploma
• International Baccalaureate

Applications from students with a relevant NVQ Level 3 are welcome.

Mature students with relevant experience and/or qualifications, including an Access to HE Diploma, are welcome to apply.
