This unit is about understanding the principles of managing
financial performance; students will have the knowledge to be able
to use a range of techniques to analyse information on expenditure.
Students will be able to make judgements to support decision
making, planning and control by managers.
Students will also have the skills to collect and analyse
information, monitor performance, and present reports to
management; to do so they will have to be able to explain, define,
calculate and analyse a range of fundamental concepts and
techniques, including absorption, marginal and standard costing,
ratio analysis, indexation and trend anlaysis.
Students must have completed or be exempt from the AAT
Intermediate Stage.
Adults 19+ who have industry experience but do not have the
necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
Students must become a member of the AAT within 2 weeks of
commencing the course.
