This course consists of the following:
- Human biology
- Skeletal system
- Cardiovascular system
- Human health & disease
- Reproductive system
- Co-ordinations and control
- Digestive system
- Health promotion
- Sociology of health
- Psychology & health
In addition, you will also study units in ICT, Maths and English.
Learners are advised to read around the subject of health, research National Health Service policies and refresh their study skills over the summer before the course starts.
Support throughout the course to enable students to make reasonable career choices. Some University programmes require work experience as part of their entry criteria and this must be undertaken by the students individually.

This course is designed for mature students who have ALL of the following:
- A range of at least 4 GCSEs at Grades A*-C must include English, Maths & Science
Please note these are the minimum entry requirements for this
course, however other factors will be taken into consideration
prior to an interview being offered.
If your GCSEs were taken more than 5 years ago, you may be advised
to consider alternative study before starting this course.
Please include any information you feel would be relevant in
assisting your application, such as academic study, relevant work
experience and life skills (ie: voluntary work).
Only shortlisted applications will be invited in for an interview.
It is therefore advisable to take time in providing as much detail
as possible.
NB if you do not meet the entry requirements for an interview for
this course the college will invite you in for an interview with
the relevant faculty where you will be able to discuss how you will
be able to progress to your chosen level of study.
