Description
This course consists of the following:
Mandatory units include:
- Child & young person development
- Safeguarding the welfare of children & young people
- Communication and professional relationships with children, young people & adults
- Equality, diversity & inclusion in work with children & young people
- Support children & young people's behaviour
Students must have ALL of the following:
- Secure voluntary placement for a minimum of 12 hours per week (letter needed from placement)
- English & Maths at a minimum of Level 1 (or equivalent)
- Childcare Foundation Learning Programme at Merit (preferable not essential)
- Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure (CRB)
- Satisfactory references
