Description
This course consists of the following:
- Introduction to communication
- Introduction to equality & inclusion
- Introduction to personal development
- Child & young person development
- Safeguard the welfare of children & young people
- Supporting children and young people's positive behaviour
- Paediactric first aid
Students must have ALL of the following:
- Aged 19 years and above
- Secure Voluntary Placement for a minimum of 12 hours per week in a childcare setting
- English & Maths at a minimum of Level 1 (or equivalent)
- Childcare Foundation Learning Programme at Merit (preferable not essential)
- Enhanced Criminal Records Disclosure (CRB)
- Satisfactory references
