Level 2 Brickwork CAA Diploma

Students will study a combination of practical and theoretical skills to form a skill base and an understanding of the trade.
This course consists of the following main units:
- Carrying out safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities and communicating with others
- Building methods and construction technology
- Interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures
- Thin joint masonry and masonry cladding
- Building solid walling, isolated and attached piers
- Isolated and attached piers
- Building cavity walling forming masonry structures
- Forming masonry structures

Students must have ONE from the following:
- 4 GCSEs (3 at grades A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E), including English and Maths
- Level 1 Diploma in a construction discipline, plus GCSE English and Maths (1 at grade A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E)
- Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English
Adults 19+ who have industry experience but do not have the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
