This course consists of the following:

This qualification provides the knowledge and skills to confirm competence in the area of moving and handling. It includes techniques, aids and equipment available, health & safety, and the importance of recording and reporting.

The 5 units include:

• Understanding and enabling assisting & moving individuals
• Select and use appropriate techniques and equipment when dealing with falls
• Select and use appropriate strategies and equipment when assisting & moving individuals
• Moving inanimate loads
• Move & position individuals in accordance with their plan of care

Students must be working or volunteering in job roles in health or social care, working with adults or children and young people.
