Description
This course consists of the following:
- Work-based experience in the land-based industries
- Animal accommodation
- Practical animal feeding
- Animal health & welfare
- Animal behaviour & handling
- Basic principals of animal biology
- Animal breeds & grooming
Students must have ONE of the following:
- Level 1 Animal Care at merit, plus GCSE English & Maths (1 at grade A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E)
- 4 GCSEs (3 at grades A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E) including English, Maths & a Science
Plus equivalent qualifications - Functional skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English
Students 19+ who have industry experience but do not have the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply
