Why do companies need Pay rolling specialists?
Pay rolling is a complicated area of expertise because not all employees are paid in the same way. Some employees may be paid a steady salary while others are paid by the hour or by the amount of items produced and/or sold. All of these different payment methods are calculated by a payroll specialist and then the appropriate paycheques can be issued.
Moreover, payroll and payroll taxes considerably affect the net income of all companies and they are subject to laws and regulations. Therefore, companies need accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
From a motivation perspective, employees are sensitive to payroll errors and irregularities: good employee morale requires payroll to be paid on time and correctly
Why study Payroll?
