This course aims to give students the opportunity to develop knowledge for working in the retail sector, while gaining a wide range of skills, knowledge and understanding which are useful for employment.
This course gives a broad overview of retail and covers areas such as:
- Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT
- Different types of retail outlets and occupations
- Customer service
- The selling process
- Stock control
- Plan and run an enterprise activity
- Work skills - searching and applying for a job
- Interview skills
- Working in a team
- How teams and individuals contribute to the effectiveness of a retail business
Students must have ALL of the following:
- 3 GCSEs or equivalent
