Week 1
- Enrolment, introduction & icebreaker
- Discussion and Q&A session about careers in hairdressing
- Looking at qualities/skills needed for hairdressing
- Scanning through prospectuses
Week 2
- Structure of hair
- Discussion on hair types
- Analyse each others hair, identify hair types and care needed
- Shampooing
Week 3
- Hair products/utensils
- Hair salon services & prices
Week 4
- Customer service
- Communication skills & professional practice - role play Q&A and discussion
Week 5
- Introduction to blowdrying different styles with demonstration and hands on
Week 6
- Hair plaiting demonstration and hands on
- Action planning & course evaluation
Students must be:
- Aged 19 or over as of 31 August 20…
