The concept of citizenship suggests an individual that is fully aware of their rights and responsibilities and who will play a co-operative, active and fulfilling role within the society in which they live.
Citizens are expected to obey the laws and customs of where they live and to participate in civic society, either at the basic level of voting in elections or by more significant levels of civic and political involvement.
This course is designed to allow you to study at your own pace and is designed to develop an interest and understanding of Citizenship.

As you work through the course, take time to complete the activities as this will give you a greater understanding of the subject matter and allow you to practice your new found knowledge.
These activities do not have to be submitted as they are for your own study. You will find your tutor assessments at the end of each unit.
You should complete your tutor marked assessments as you go through the units and then submit your completed assignment at the end of every completed subject topic e.g.: when you have completed each unit , and then submit to your tutor for marking and feedback.
