The course is suitable for those who wish to pursue interests in Christian theology and biblical studies, for those wanting to explore issues in philosophy of religion, religious studies and ethics, or for those who prefer to investigate a mixture of subjects.
We offer high quality teaching in small classes with experienced teachers. There is excellent tutorial support in a small and friendly university environment. All the modules are supported by an exceptionally well-resourced library.
Students can gain valuable work place experience before graduation through the work placement modules in years 2 and 3. We pride ourselves on the career support we offer students. For those wanting to become RE teachers there are modules designed to offer specific knowledge and experience. The degree can lead to a variety of careers in the media, police, civil service, church ministry, teaching and forms of community work and health care.

In year two you take one core module in research skills. A work placement module is also available to help you get valuable experience for life after university. In year three you undertake a major study is a specialized area of your choice. There is also a further work placement module available.
