One of the most rare water birds in Britain, the Bittern makes occasional visits to the lake at Friday Island. Central to these shy and cautious birds putting in an appearance is the planting of reed beds to provide cover and protection from predators. As such, Reed Bed Planting is the focus of this particular conservation project.
This is a great way to develop your team spirit and achieve something of genuine importance for national conservation.
