Description

Programmes are delivered via fully supported distance/online learning.  Students have access to our team of specialist tutors throughout their course and beyond. The programmes build on the experience of the student to deliver new skills and improved performance.

The level two certifcate is primarily intended for new entrants or the profession or experienced operatives who wish to improve their understanding of the relationships between the component functions of the supply chain, possibly with a view to moving into a supervisory role. It may also form part of the induction for new recruits.

The programme consists of two compulsory modules (Introduction to Logistics and Introduction to the Customer Service and Marketing) followed by a choice of two from:

  • Introduction to Freight Transport Services
  • Introduction to Warehousing and Inventory
  • Introduction to Procurement
  • Introduction to Planning and Operation of Freight Transport Services

As an entry level qualification, the L2 Certificate provides a broad understanding of the fundamentals of the integrated supply chain with a particular focus on the movement of goods. It is recommended that individuals wishing to undertake the CILT (UK) Introductory Certificate should be:

  • Undertaking the course as part of an induction.
  • Experienced operatives interested in improving their understanding of the relationships between the various components functions of the supply chain.
