The Level 2 Certificate in Logistics Operations is a combined qualification that forms both the competence and knowledge elements of the apprenticeship.

All aspects of training are completed in college on day release and in the workplace, or solely in the work place (dependant on the employer’s needs). An assessor will regularly visit you in the workplace to gather work-based evidence.

Apprenticeships let you benefit from real-life work experience which you will get day-to-day from your job. This experience is supported by theoretical knowledge gained at college in both classroom and workshop based sessions/assessments.

For the NVQ you will build up a portfolio, which is a collection of examples or evidence of your work that demonstrates your skills and ability, including a work diary, photos, statements from your employer and colleagues and examples of completed tasks.

Assessment consists of practical tasks, observations, oral questioning, written questions, assignments and projects. The functional skills are assessed through written tests.

You gain recognised qualifications and valuable industry experience, making you more employable.

Upon application you will be invited in for an interview and an initial assessment to make sure that the course is right for you. There are no other restrictions to becoming an apprentice except that you need to be over the age of 16 and to have been settled in the UK for at least the past three years.

You can progress to:
