On the Advanced Level Apprenticeship, your training will focus on
gaining specific skills in your preferred speciality. You will
handle more responsibility and gain important management
skills.
From organising displays to learning the crucial aspects of
management, the skills gained from the Retail Apprenticeship are
transferable to all retail companies. With a young workforce, the
UK's retail sector is vibrant and offers many opportunities for

Course Summary:
The NVQ in Retail aims to develop knowledge and understanding within all retail environments and is linked to the candidate's job role.
How will I be assessed?
Through competence based assessments carried out in the workplace and attending day release training at college.
Entry Requirements:
Other than being between 16 - 24 years of age, there are no specific entry requirements for the apprenticeship. However, you will have to complete an English and Maths test, as well as an interview, prior to enrolment to assess your suitability for the course.
How much time will I spend on the course?
All Apprenticeships at LMC last for a minimum of 12 months.
Who is this course suitable for?
Any young person (16 - 24 years of age) wanting to work in the
retail industry. Apprenticeships are suitable for most retail
workers, who also would like to improve their knowledge in retail.
Advanced Apprenticeships are suitable for supervisors, managers,
sales professionals and visual merchandisers who are able to choose
a pathway in their relevant areas of expertise.
Both the NVQ's are made up of mandatory and optional units ensuring
that they are suitable for a variety of working environments.
