Entry requirements You must be employed in a stores/warehouse environment. Who is it for? The Apprenticeship is for people working in the storage/warehousing industry. For example:
- Warehouse Operative
- Fork Lift Truck Operator
- Dispatch/Goods In Operative
- Stock Room Staff

Aged 24 and over
Total People require employers to make a contribution towards the cost for all learners aged 24 years and over, embarking on an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship programme.
Duration Approximately 12 months Start date Available all year Assessment method Assessments are carried out by an assessor who has occupational competence. This will include on site observations, the completion of underpinning knowledge questions, witness testimony and discussion. Key Skills will include completion of a log book and an online exam. Technical certificate will involve the completion of work books and an online exam. Personal qualities To work in a warehousing environment you will need to have the following personal qualities:
- Team worker
- Punctual and reliable
- Able to work on own initiative
- Attention to detail
Further progression Once you have completed your Apprenticeship you can progress onto a number of industry specific qualifications or move on to the Advanced Apprenticeship.
