The course is intended to familiarise the candidate with the new regulations regarding energy efficiency in domestic buildings. This is the nationally recognised qualification required to become a Domestic Energy Assessor in England and Wales. Areas covered include: Role of the domestic energy assessor What is a risk assessment? - whats involved and how to carry one out Assessing the age of a property and property fixtures The various construction methods Heating systems - different types, how they work etc Surveying techniques Software training Preparing relevant documentationThe course includes a 1 ½ hour on-line examination at the end of the course followed by a portfolio assessment perio…

The certificate is awarded on successful completion of both the exam and the portfolio.
