Domestic Green Deal Advisor ‘up-skill’

The level 3 Diploma is for existing qualified Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA) who may wish to offer the Green Deal Advice Service.
Green Deal Advisors are required to visit properties and carry out an Occupancy Assessment (OA) and give advice on Green Deal Energy efficiency measures, then create a Green Deal Advice Report (GDAR). The GDAR will suggest energy efficiency improvements to the property and show their indicative costs.

- The Occupancy Assessment and its linkage to the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
- The Energy Companies Obligation and other funding courses.
- The issues surrounding fuel poverty.
- The occupancy and tenure criteria for Green Deal Finance.
- Data collection and advice requirements for the Occupancy Assessment home visit.
- Consideration of property defects and other issues affecting the recommendations for the GDAR.
- The use of the GD-sap software to produce Occupancy Assessments.
- Preparing the Green Deal Advice Report.
- The giving of Green Deal Advice and interaction with the consumer.
- Preparation of your Portfolio of Evidence for ABBE assessment.
Each training session includes trainer delivered presentations, web- research activities, group workshops and question and answer sessions.
Course Entry CriteriaThe level 3 Diploma is for existing qualified Domestic Energy Assessors (DEA) who may wish to offer the Green Deal Advice Service.
Please note; to be eligible for the ‘up-skill’ route your DEA qualification must have included the mandatory Continuing Professional Development (CPD) on the use of conventions RDSAP 9.91 or have been awarded post June 12.
The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:
- More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
- 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
- 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
- 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
- Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost
All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
