Course Syllabus:

Weigh:

The course is tailored to individual needs. Learners take what they want from the course. i.e. some class members prefer not to weigh: they are more interested in toning up and inch loss. They can measure at the beginning and at the end of the course to calculate inch loss. Learners wanting to lose weight can weigh each week and their weight is recorded. Help is available for those wanting to lose weight, individual food plans can be discussed and advice given. Measurement charts/diet sheets support etc available by telephone or e-mail.  supershape @hotmail.com

Workout:

The exercises are not aerobic, but concentrate on precision movements and low impact stretch to improve problem areas.  We are all at different levels of fitness; this is always stressed in class.  Learners are encouraged to work at their own pace within their own limits.  The aim is to perform the exercises correctly and understand the benefit of exercise.  As fitness levels improve, repetitions increase.  A course designed to motivate and encourage you to maintain/improve present fitness or provide the opportunity to start a healthier lifestyle.

Relaxation:

At the end of the session, cool down.  Learn to de-stress using relaxation techniques.  Lights out….soothing music….relaxation.

By the end of the course learners should be able to perform the exercises correctly.  Fitness levels should have improved and learners should be motivated to continue a healthier lifestyle by being more aware of the importance of exercise and relaxation.

10–15 minutes – weigh in/or lie down preparation stretch.

1 hour exercise – warm up – standing/upper body/floor exercise to music.
