Fitness Instructing Level 2

Turn your hobby into a career easily by becoming a fitness instructor. The Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing course is ideal for people who are gym fanatics and want to make a career of it at the same time. This is a twelve week part-time course that requires you to complete six units. These include: anatomy & physiology, customer service skills, health & safety, components of fitness, planning and instructing a gym based session. It’s a great course to do even if you’re already working within the fitness sector. With this qualification you can join the Register of Exercise Professionals too. There’s no better Further Education institution to study, thanks to the state-of-the-art gym facilities at Gloucestershire College and with a comprehensive extra curricula programme such as 1st Aid course and additional relevant qualifications, there’s no time for boredom

Please wear suitable sportswear and appropriate footwear to all classes. Also a materials fee will be charged at the beginning of the course to cover the costs of handouts and textbooks. Full details will be given at the beginning of the course

To be considered for a place on this course, you need to have some experience of a gym environment and have knowledge about the anatomy and physiology. You will be interviewed with the tutors looking for enthusiasm and commitment to the course

Thanks to the practical nature of the course, you can become a fitness instructor once you qualify and you can join the Register of Exercise Professionals too
